About Us
The mission of Reckless Love Ranch is to provide a space for people to transform the harm that has been done to or through them into patterns of healing and change for the benefit of themselves, their families and the communities in which they live.
The vision of Reckless Love Ranch is to strengthen individuals, families and communities through relational connection. Our long-term plan is to provide a place where at-risk families can remain together while healing and replacing harmful generational patterns.
Tara Kvanvig Garza is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been practicing in the state of Texas for two decades. She has worked in many clinical settings including acute inpatient, community agencies, teaching and private practice for the past fifteen years.
After many years of succesful individual careers, Tara and her husband, Joaquin, decided to merge their talents and callings to begin an equine assisted psychotherapy practice. Their experience as parents of many children, including through adoption, and their desire to reach those that might not experience success with traditional therapies, led to creating Reckless Love Ranch. They hope to reduce treatment times for those with trauma histories; prevent potential breakdowns for at-risk families; provide a space for healing attachment wounds and creating secure relational patterns; and strengthen individuals, families and communities.
